Church Stretton, Shropshire

Starting in the historic market town of Church Stretton.

The route takes in wide open trails on the hill tops and footpaths of the surrounding countryside, all within the Shropshire Hills National Landscape, including the Long Mynd; the highest point on the route.

    Public transport: Church Stretton Railway Station 1.5km from event site (20 minute walk). Church Stretton is approx. 1 - 1.5 hours from Birmingham by train or car

  • Date: Saturday 5th July 2025

    Location: All Stretton, Church Stretton, SY6 6HE.

  • There will be parking available at registration, payable on arrival (£5 per vehicle, in cash) or FREE if your car is at full capacity (e.g. 4 people in a standard car) to encourage car sharing!

    There are great transport options to Church Stretton Railway Station from Birmingham and the surrounding areas. The station is approximately 1.5km (20 minutes) walk from the event site.

    • The Shropshire Hills routes are on runnable, undulating, sociable trails all accessible for runners of mixed ability. The entire route is on established paths and trails whilst following Public Rights of Way.

    • The course will be fully signed, comprehensively waymarked and marshalled.

    • The entire route is mandatory.

    • There are various road crossings throughout the route. Please take great care at these locations, following the instructions of the marshals and always remembering that you have no special right of way over road traffic!

    • Participants have no special right of way over other recreational users and are reminded to be polite and courteous at all times.

  • There are two course options:

    • Approx. 50km with 1400m ascent

    • Approx. 25km with 600m ascent

  • Details of vendors and amenities will be released in due course.

    • There will be support points on route for both distances. Support point information will be released in due course.

    • There will be no on-course cut offs across the entire SheRACES Trail Series.

    • Estimated course close for both distances is 10pm. We will not enforce mid-course cut offs on any of the races. So long as you are moving forward, we'll do our best to support you to reach the finish.

  • Early bird entry fees for the races:

    • 50km: £85

    • 25km: £65

    Shropshire Hills early bird entry fees are valid until Sunday 27th April.
